Robotica: Humanoid and Service Robots
After the important success of the 2011 edition, the appointment with the fourth edition of ROBOTICA, which is looking to be full of innovations, is from 7 to 9 November 2012. Thanks to highly positive results of the 2011 edition, which occupied an area three times that of 2010, with double the number of exhibitors and great crowds of qualified visitors, the fourth edition will take place at fieramilanocity (Milan Exhibition Centre in the heart of the city), confirming the specific autonomy and identity of ROBOTICA compared to the other events with which it took place concurrently until 2011.
This year, in particular, ROBOTICA will have a new layout, divided as per theme areas, able to offer operators a broader outlook of the sector in all its aspects:
- Mechatronics & Components (manufacturers of robots and components)
- Medical & Health (medical robots for assistance for disabled people)
- Cyborg & Humanoid (humanoid or bionic robots)
- Search & Rescue (rescue and search robots, for work in hostile environments)
- Safety & Security (robots for assistance, safety for people and objects, telepresencr)
- Educational (educational and teaching robots)
- Entertainment (robotic games)
- 3D & Prototyping (virtual reality and prototyping)
- Inventors (ideas and inventions)
- Arduino Workshop (the world of users and developers of this famous platform)
Alongside the exhibition area, ROBOTICA will, as usual, also include a conference programme of the highest level, dedicated to the most relevant topics and problems. In 2011, the event was attended by internationally famous speakers such as professor Yoshiyuki Sankai of the University of Tsukuba (Japan) and, by teleconference, professor Paolo Dario of the S. Anna High School of Pisa. Numerous famous national and international companies were exhibitors at Robotica, including: Aldebaran, Arduino, BlueBotics, Centro Sviluppo Realtà Virtuale, Comau, Euroa, IT+Robotics, Kuka, Lego Education Europe, Nuzoo Robotics, Schunk, Sentek Solutions, STMicroeletronics, Tecnalia Research & Innovations, together with the most important research centres and Italian university departments.
All this contributed in the great interest that the media gave to the Milanese event, with articles in the printed and online editions of the most important national daily newspapers, as well as videos in the most watched news services (Tg1, Tg5, TGR Lombardia), as well as in many TV (Tg3 Pixel, Tg Leonardo, Crash by Rai Educational, Prodotto Italia), and radio programmes (Caterpillar of Rai Radio2).
ROBOTICA is therefore a privileged meeting place for the world of par excellence research and that of industry and, from 3 to 6 October 2012, will be back in Milan, renewing the reference appointment for the entire sector.
